The refurbished home is experienced as a journey through colour: from rooted greens and weather-aging cedar shingles externally to fervent yellows and hot pinks internally, bold accents of colour define the newest spaces of the home.
A zinc-yellow staircase leads to the basement which is an expansive space designed for play and entertaining – a world away from the high-Victorian period interiors above. Ceiling-to-floor doors allow outdoor and indoor spaces to flow into each other and natural daylight to come into the space.
A new cedar-shingle clad extension on the roof houses a light-filled bedroom and shower room, with angled windows and roof lights that frame views of the surrounding roof-scape.
