Elena Pascolo
Elena is co-founder of UPB. She is an architect and urbanist, trained in South Africa, the Bartlett UCL and the Architectural Association. Elena has extensive experience in practice in the UK, South Africa and South America, and has led several large-scale housing, public realm and urban regeneration projects in London and across the UK. Elena is currently leading the Meridian Water Meanwhile Masterplan strategy for the London Borough of Enfield, including site research and analysis, meanwhile public realm and public space design, incremental regeneration of strategic industrial land, and the design of meanwhile maker-spaces, civic facilities and yards.
Elena is currently a Unit Master at the AA Housing and Urbanism Masters programme. She was also a recent Visiting Professor at the University of Cagliari, Italy; a Unit Master at the Masters in Urban Design at the Bartlett; a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Brighton MA Urban Studies; and a Visiting Tutor at London Metropolitan University MA Cities, Design & Urban Culture. Elena has also been a visiting critic at ETH Zurich, and has participated in numerous international workshops.
